Frequently asked questions... Age limits? Students of Tae Kwon-Do begin training any age between roughly 6 and 60. Fitness levels? Training is geared to improving fitness irrespective of a student's starting point. Positive goal setting in Tae Kwon-Do is a strong motivator for personal improvement. Clothing? To begin with, loose tracksuit bottoms & t-shirt, bare feet. Later, official training suit is available through instructor. What will I be doing? Students work towards grades, so there's a clearly defined syllabus. Elements of training include traditional forms (like karate katas), self defence and sport training. Tae Kwon-Do is an impact martial art, primarily kicking, punching, blocking and moving. How to enrol? Come along to any class. All students need to fill in a licence form for insurance cover. Most new students then join in with the class, for their first lesson, which is free.
